Changes in Minimum Wage and USC Rates for 2017

The Minimum Wage in Ireland has increased by 10cent to €9.25 an hour on the 1st January 2017. USC Rates have been reduced. In 2016 the rates were 1% on the first €12,012, 3% on the next €6,656, 5.5% on the next €51,376 and 8% on the Balance. Now in 2017, the rates are 0.5% on the first €12,012, 2.5% on the next €6,760, 5% on the next €51,272 and 8% on the balance. These changes mean an increase in net pay to employees.
